"The X-Files" CCG Promo Cards
What is a Promo Card?
A promo card is a card that is use to promote the current or up comming
edition of a card series. They are distributed in a varity of ways.
Traditionally they are distributed in magazines or other froms of media; this
has the dual effect of the promotion sales of the magazine or parent company and
promoting the new card series. Occationally one is given out as an exclusive
item at a convention or other such event.
Promotional card collecting has become very popular. Due to their eratic (and
sometimes regional) distribution collectors often miss a newly released promo.
Some collectors never even hear about a card until it is on the secondary
market.

Mirrors 1-5 and the Voyager Promotions exclusives. It should also be noted that
